Become a Referee
“No one said Refereeing would be easy but it can be very rewarding”
V Bottacchi, Ashford Branch.
Do you have the commitment and dedication to become a Referee ?.
The Basic Refereeing Course is ideally suited to you if you are interested in becoming a referee in the 11 v 11 game both in youth and adult football. If you would like to become a Kent FA Referee you must firstly attend a 'Get into Refereeing' Workshop, this is a two-hour Workshop, and they are held around the County on a midweek evening, you should also consider this course if you currently coach or volunteer and have an interest in refereeing games within your club or league. This course can be viewed as the first, crucial step to you developing as a referee before progressing through the various levels of refereeing.
Here at the Ashford Referees Association we can support you at every stage of your refereeing career and we will do all we can to ensure that you are pleased with the important decision you have made to become a referee. We offer mentoring, on-going training, insurance and allocating you games. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience and with over 60 members positive advice is always on hand. Our monthly Branch meetings are an important part of every referee’s continuous training and we always endeavour to invite experienced referee’s as guest speakers.
